At present the weather predictions above are focused 100 km north of Zakopane in Cracow. So until we are able to provide a Zakopane specific reading, please bear in mind that the temperatures listed are no more than an indicator. That said, if snow is forecast for Cracow, you can bet your bottom dollar that Zakopane is due virtually double the amount of the white stuff than the Old Royal capital. Although Autumns are mild in the Highlands, Summers can be hot, and it's very rare that there is not significant snowfall in Winter - skiers are rarely left in the lurch. Regardless of whether there's a high or low snowfall, it's advisable to only explore the mountains if you are with at least one companion.
