Pensjonat Boruta

Boruta is actually the given name for a legendary devil from Polish folk-lore. But readers needn't worry about things going bump in the night here, the only thing that's devilish about this place is the devilishly good prices. The pension is located in an attractive house that's not far from the heart of Zakopane. There's room to house 70 souls, and guestrooms include eighteen doubles and eight triples. All rooms come with private bathroom. A restaurant and cafe will help keep you on fighting form, and there is a small conference room just in case you feel inspired to stage an impromptu summit.

Pensjonat Boruta

"We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of June 2007. The pension is about 10 minutes walk from the centre. The rooms and bathrooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. It's on a main, but not busy road, so the road noise is not bad. People staying for 1 night will be delighted with this low-cost but well presented lodging. If you're staying longer, you should know that they do not service the rooms at all - so you make up the beds and make sure you keep the towels clean and dry. The staff, despite speaking no English, are extremely pleasant and helpful. I arranged to get my clothes laundered (normally 2 days, but they did it in one. Breakfast is included and is a good variety of cold stuff. They do packed lunches if you're going walking to the mountains. There are plenty of eating places within 10-15 minutes walk. "
