Villa Marilor

Built in 1912 as a luxurious guesthouse, today the Villa Marilor seems more like a palace than a hotel. After going through a number of incarnations the building fell into disrepair in the 1990s, but was restored to its former glory and opened to guests in 2001. Modern visitors can enjoy an old world splendour combined with all the modern amenities you might expect from a 4-star hotel - such as jacuzzi, solarium, satellite TV and internet connection; plus a few you might not - such as a gorgeous artificial turf tennis court. So pack your finest whites and prepare to do battle!

"We had a wonderful room with a balcony and a very large bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeting us as we walked by. The breakfast was excellent. I will be back!"

"The hotel is located ten minute walk from the town centre and a couple of minutes from the train and bus stations. The staff were attentive and the reception staff always stood up when you entered the hotel; unlike so many hotels where they just sit behind a desk. The rooms were well equipped and not only were they clean, but they smelt clean and fresh too. The hotel is set back from the road and there was no noise from passing traffic or passing pedestrians late at night. Breakfast was very good, although i would have preferred fresh fruit salad rather than the canned variety! The swimming pool was a welcome relaxation after a day treking in the mountains. Parking is available on site. Highly recommended!"

"Had a great time in Zakopane over the winter season. Villa Marillor proved to be the perfect hotel with excellent service - which i heard is unusual in Poland. No complaints here, and the rooms and grounds of the Marilor were very nice"
