"A big thank you from Chris and David, to Kinga and her family for making us both very welcome on our first visit to the resort in February 2008, this is a really great place to stay for anyone wanting to holiday in Zakopane. We stayed 4 nights at the Leluja apartments, we fully endorse the other reviews, the apartments are of great quality and excellent value for money, way above our expectations. "

"spent 5 nights, and very happy here. location is good, breakfast very good, and staff friendly. only drawback, it has no lift, so not at all suitable for people with mobility problems. if you do wish to stay here and have mobility problems, request to stay on the 1st floor. This was the the only fault we had, and will be more than happy to return again."

"It's just under a week since returning from our skiing holiday and we can't wait to return next year. The accommodation was excellent, very clean and they served a lovely buffet style breakfast. The views from the rooms were good too. Kinga was so friendly & welcoming to our party before and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, even down to the ordering of our transport from/to the airport. The children really enjoyed themselves on their first skiing holiday and they also enjoyed the sledging down the hills just behind the Villa. The Villa is only a 5 min walk away from one of the ski slopes with others within reach by taxi and the main centre is approx. 10 mins walk. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back next year."

Stara Polana Hostel

"This hostel is great and three of us stayed here for 5 nights. Yes it takes about 15 minutes to get to main Krupowki Street, but it is a nice walk and it is definitely within walking distance to other tourist attractions like Gobalowka. If you want to get to the slops (Kasprowy Wierch, Nosal, Witow) or Morskie Oko (Lake in the Mountains) there is a bus station near the train station about 10-15 minutes walk from the hostel. There are a number of private minibuses outside the station as well, which will take you wherever you want at the same price as the normal buses. The staff at the hostel was very helpful as well and I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone. "

"Arrived home last night 13th Feb 08 after 4 night stay. Our 2-family party of 9 (5 teenagers, 4 adults in the 2 large suites and guest room in attic) all loved this place and want to return as soon as possible. All rooms absolutely immaculate, exactly as described and with very tasty breakfast each day. Views beautiful from each room at all times of day. Kinga was such a lovely, warm, friendly hostess - very helpful to us before and during our stay. Some skiing was walking distance and kids had great time sledging next to apartment. The taxi drivers Kinga kindly organised were really friendly, as was the restaurant she recommended "Karczma Sopa" - delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Keep up the good work Kinga, we told you how much we loved being there and we can't praise you and your lovely accommodation enough -missing it already and hope to see you again."

"My grandmother used to always tell us stories about her holidays in Zakopane in the 1930s. We decided to finally give the skiing holiday a try and this hotel was a perfect choice. Zakopane town itself has clearly got a lot more built up than in her day, but we had a great skiing holiday."

"Can't believe I'm reading this (below) - I've stayed at Szarotka on more than one occasion and found it nothing short of welcoming, spotlessly clean and great value. That 'review' looks suspiciously out of place when you read all the other far more positive ones. Personally, I'm very happy to recommend this Guest House. Martin."

"Total tragedy I never had been in worse place. The owner is very unfriendly and unhelpful. Typical lady who forget that communism is gone long time ago. Treat staff terrible. I was disgust. One girl is working in reception, bar and clean rooms in the same time. Rooms are very small, untidy, bar always close. Food absolutely horrible. Please stay away from this nasty place. It is definitely not hotel. "

"Really friendly staff who cant do enough for you. Apartments are too expensive for what you get in comparison with Zakopane Hotels. Position of the Hostels is a good 15 minute walk from the centre of the main street."
