Return Of The Moonstealers

Poland's presidential race is still wide open but conservative contender Lech Kaczynski already has something to celebrate -- a movie he starred in as a child with his twin brother is a hit again.

The 1962 film called "The Two Who Stole the Moon" in which Lech and Jaroslaw play a pair of mischievous scamps was the best-selling Polish movie and third overall on top Polish Internet retailer Merlin.com.pl on Thursday.

"There is no doubt that the election campaign drove the sales," Merlin spokeswoman Agnieszka Pawlowska said.

Lech Kaczynski, 56, who made "moral revolution" and full disclosure of politicians' financial interests one of the pillars of his campaign, was quick with assurances the twins had no financial stake in the movie's success.

"It is good that it is selling well and I can guarantee that over the 40 years that the film was on sale, we never got any profits from it," he told reporters.

Kaczynski is just behind frontrunner Donald Tusk in opinion polls ahead of Sunday's vote.
