By the end of 2006, over 300 polish bus drivers will be behind the wheel in Britain. To staff its expansion into England, the Scottish bus company Stagecoach, has been recruiting heavily in Poland and many poles are making the move. In Britain, they will be able to earn seven British Pounds, per hour, wheras in Poland, most drivers earn the meager equivilant of two pounds per hour. Furthermore, drivers recruited by Stagecoach are given a 12 week language course, so that they can successfully deal with lost old women, kick drunks off the bus, and maybe even talk a bit about why Liverpool was foolish beyond belief to get rid of Jerzy Dudek!!
