Film Crew Runs Into Russian Trouble
A Polish diplomat from the Moscow Embassy has gone to Ingushetia to investigate the circumstances relating to the detention of three Polish television journalists in Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia. After an 8-hour questioning, they had their video cassettes confiscated and were handed over to the Russian Federation security services. They were accused of filming without permission in the region where troops are stationed in North Caucasus.
