The Fairest of Them All
The competition was undeniably tough, but finally 19-year-old Klaudyna Krzysiowska was awarded the title of Miss Polonia Malopolska 2011.
Klaudyna, from Nowy Sącz, clinched the title during a gala event in Zakopane.
Other titles went to Angelika Kowalczyk (Miss Internet), Marcela Chmielowska (First Runner Up), and Kinga Bierówka (Second Runner Up).
Six of the 18 women who made it the regional Miss Polonia final in Malopolska were from the Podhale district, in which Zakopane is located. The area is becoming a favourite for the event, which was held last year in nearby Nowy Targ.
The gala was held at the prestigious Mercure Kasprowy hotel, in association with Zakopane Fashion. Clothes designed for the event will be presented at a fashion show on August 19, at the 43rd International Festival of Mountain Folklore in Zakopane.
