Adam Malysz won both his events at the Polish Championships this October, taking pole position in the HS 94 and HS 134 jumps.

Poland's acclaimed ski-jumper, also known as "The Flying Moustache" and "The Polish Batman," is a huge celebrity here, and is the only sportsman, Polish or otherwise, to have ever won the World Ski Jumping cup four times.

In both of this month's events, second place was taken by Lukasz Rutkowski.

Poles have high hopes that Malysz, after a slightly rocky season last year, will return to form for his international clashes later in the season.

"I'm very happy with this start," he reflected.
