Although warm weather worried organisers last week, the Zakopane leg of the World Ski Jumping Cup is still due to take place this weekend.
Polish star Adam Malysz has not been hitting top form yet this season, but another proposed entrant has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons.
Thirteen-year-old Klemens 'Klimek' Muranka has been proposed for this year's Zakopane event. Having already won World Cup points this season, he is eligible, although some foreign coaches have expressed anxiety about parading such a young competitor on the world stage.
Muranka has become something of a phenomenon in Poland, making his international debut in March 2007 at Zakopane.
