Great news for waterbabies heading to the Tatras on holiday! The largest Aqua Park in Poland has finally opened, just in time for peak tourist season. What with Zakopane’s excellent ski slopes, lively bar and restaurant scene and of course a amazing scenery, the Aqua Park is promising to be another jewel of an attraction in the mountain resort’s sparkling treasure chest!

‘What’s so special about this watery wonderland anyhow?’ we hear you ask. Well the new mega-complex boasts not one but two vast recreational pools, a ‘wild river’, a paddling pool for kids, a geo-thermal pool, six whirlpools baths, dry and steam saunas, and of course a number of hair-raising slides – the longest of which is a whopping 166.5 metres long, a towering 16.7 metres high and will propell its ‘customers’ at an adrenaline pumping 26 kilometres per hour!

Yes it may be early days but we predict that the Aqua Park is going to be a huge hit in Zako, providing skiers with a great way to wind down, families with the perfect place to entertain the kids, and youngsters with a cool space to hang out and exchange flirtatious glances. Once you’ve tired yourself out on the slides or your skin is getting seriously wrinkly in the jacuzzi you’ll find a restaurant-cum-cafe on hand to replace lost calories, and even a bowling alley if you really are desperate not to head back into the cold!

The Aquapark is located at Antalowce next to ulica Jagiellonska and you can visit the website by clicking here.
