Stamary ZakopaneThis hotel was the creation of a colorful character in pre-war Zakopane. Stamary was the pseudonym of a celebrated opera singer, Maria Budziszewska, who went on to found this hotel in Poland's Winter Capital. The building is a precious example of the 'Zakopane style', precious in that unlike so many houses built in the idiom, brick was used rather than wood.
