Stamary Zakopane

This hotel was the creation of a colorful character in pre-war Zakopane. Stamary was the pseudonym of a celebrated opera singer, Maria Budziszewska, who went on to found this hotel in Poland's Winter Capital. The building is a precious example of the 'Zakopane style', precious in that unlike so many houses built in the idiom, brick was used rather than wood. Today, the Grand Hotel is once more open to travelers. It's an upmarket choice near the bus station. There is a large variety of accommodation on offer, including seven apartments, twenty-five doubles and twelve singles. There are also family rooms and studio apartments. Downstairs you'll discover an appealing swimming pool, as well as sauna, jacuzzi and massage services.
