Sabala Zakopane

For those holiday-makers who like to stay somewhere with a real sense of history, then the Sabala is definitely the right place for you. This renowned hotel first opened its doors in 1894, and it immediately attracted a flamboyant crowd of artists, poets and free-thinkers - amongst them the legendary folk singer, and hotel’s namesake, Sabala himself! The modern visitor can get a taste for those heady days of yore in this beautifully-constructed, traditional pinewood building - which thankfully however comes with 21st century conveniences, including swimming pool, sauna, steam room and solarium. Its location on the Krupowki road can’t be beaten for anyone keen to be in the midst of the action.

2 Things about the Sabala I dislike. The swimming pool is to cold and the fact there is not available a non smoking area in the restaurant. It was my second visit and I would though stay there again. The service at reception was excellent, the food is good.

Our room at the Sabala was very nice. A plus to us was the hotel parking was easy to find and we were allowed to keep our car there after we checked out until we left Zakopane later in the day. Also breakfast was included the next morning. We would definately recommend the Sabala.
