Anyone fascinated by Poland's turbulent history that only really began to settle in the past 20 years will find a wealth of information and exhibits at this museum tucked away in the mountains. It is a memorial and record of the 1846 uprising, when the villagers of Chochołów revolted against Austrian rule. The permanent exhibition contains documents, weapons, pictures and more, relating to this time of partition and revolution in the heart of Europe.
