Gazdowo Kuznia

If you're after authentic Highland food, then you won't find a more traditional setting in the Tatras than the renowned Gazdowo Kuznia. Roughly translated as 'Farmer's Kitchen', the Gazdowo Kuznia is set in a one of the oldest buildings in town, dating all the way back to 1891. The first hotel in Zakopane, the Pod Giewontem, can still be found on the same premises! But if the building is old, the recipes here are even older... There simply isn't a better place in town to munch on roasted suckling pig, soaked in aromatic wine sauce! Fans of the movie 'Babe', should probably stay clear!

We had a fantastic meal here for a party of 15 of us. No ways we could eat everything they brought us! The best thing was the oscypek with cranberry sauce - absolutely delicious. Needless to say, we also had a lot to drink! Awesome!

Polish beer is lethal. Deceptively drinkable! Not sure if its stronger, but certainly feels so the next morning... Great fun we had here though@!

I'm pretty sure that this is the one we went into....! Great place. I'll be buying that Zywec beer back in the UK!

Eaten here on many occasions, never had a bad meal, can get beer in 1lt glasses as well!
