Restaurant Pod Aniolem

I have been dining at this restaurant for years now, and it used to be excellent, but no longer. I hosted a dinner for 12 last week and it was a disaster. I had reservations and arrived on time. The service was the worst I have experienced in any restaurant in Zakopane. Our 1 waitress neglected us to the point that we needed to flag down others for drinks, and to order. Our appetizers and meals all came out at different times over a 2 hour time span. The food was fairly good and that is why I give 3 stars. Unfortunately, my party as well as myself were upset by the service and would never return (I was married in this hotel years ago so it had special meaning to us, but the grandeur is defitely gone. Would not go back nor recommend unless you want decent food and truly bad service at a high price.

Lovely and cozy place! Service was ok, nothing special. The folk band was fantastic, especially as my boyfriend is Polish he could translate what they were singing about - quite naughty and funny songs :) Food is fantastic, but quite heavy, don't order too much (skip the starter). In general really pleasant place, staff could be friendlier though.

Gazdowo Kuznia

We had a fantastic meal here for a party of 15 of us. No ways we could eat everything they brought us! The best thing was the oscypek with cranberry sauce - absolutely delicious. Needless to say, we also had a lot to drink! Awesome!

Madame C Restaurant

We spent a week in Krakow in the biginning of October 2010. On a rather cold day, we decided to take a trip to Zakopane, to visit the market there. On our way from the bus to the citycentre, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. As it from the outside looked friendly and cosy, we went inside and found a table. Here we had a very warm welcome by the owner herself. It turned out that she was half Danish, and therefor also understood Norwegian, something very useful for us, as she could give us some very good advice about the area, and where to do our shopping. The restaurant itself and the toilets looked very clean. The food was excellent, and we would definately go back! Eva Hermansen and Björn Bergsmark Norway

Don't bother with this chain, there are many better, original places on Krupuwki!

It is a great place - sorry for me, i was there just once, august 2008, in my opinion, highly recommended for every visitor of Zakopane. Try the "Golonka" - amazing dish ! With Polish lager beer, of course. Okocim, or Ziviec - i prefered this Ziviec.

Madame C Restaurant

We stopped in zakopane 19/08/10 till 27/08/10. This restaurant was recomended to us by our taxi driver from Krakow. We used it almost every night of our stay, it is quite simply superb. The menu is very european and is a nice change from the local Polish cuisine. The owner and staff are wonderful, friendly people and very welcoming. Entertainment is provided some nights and we found it very good. We recommend the daily specials they serve, we loved them. We hope to return to Zakopne and will definitely be heading back to "Madame Cs" again. we can highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks to the owner & staff for making such a great addition to our holiday.

Karcma Po Zboju

A very nice, charming place with fire place and wood decor in "Zakopane-style". Excellent traditional Polish food, Okocim beer, folk-music, quick service. Lovely!

Bad choice. Yesterday I've waited for 20 minutes to be noticed by any waiter. Then, the waiter was very arrogant and gave me change from the bill - 20 z³ - in coins!

Little Switzerland

I agree with Robert: Very Poor quality food. I guess also they have absolutely no idea how to prepare Swiss Raclette and so I guess they use any cheap cheese to make the raclette and fondue. As Adam gave that comment on a review few months ago, that restaurant should be named (Little Cheat-Land or Little Shit-land , it is quite similar).

Very very Poor quality food. They have absolutely no idea how to prepare Swiss Raclette. The world "Swiss" should be removed.
