A vast building set on two floors, the Jagoda is much more than the Cocktail bar it calls itself on the door. To the right there's a counter selling cakes and treats, to the left a convential bar, for getting the beers in, and straight ahead there's a grill sizzling with mouthwatering meat and veg. If you can't decide which of those to head to, then you will be hopeless at choosing a seat: there's the convential seating downstairs, some funky green stools at the back, and upstairs there's a cool attic bar under a triangular roof... And we haven't even mentioned the beer terrace by the brook. Not for the indecisive! |

Cost-cuts for tourists
The news should lighten your heart while leaving a little extra ballast in your wallet - Zakopane authorities have the changed the way that ...

Jagoda is my favourite place for a snack in Zakopane. There is a wonderful choice of ice creams, cakes, the biggest and lightest doughnuts ever, full of jam or chocolate. There is an excellent selection of drinks including hot chocolate with lashings of whipped cream and latte. I'm making a beeline for Jagoda every time we visit Zakopane. Definitely THE PLACE when you fancy a treat.
