Famous for their vodkas and superb beers, Poles are not shy when it comes to the odd tot or three, and Zakopane more than lives up to the tradition. There are a great choice of pubs, cafes and bars to choose from, many with a folk theme and lavishly-decorated interiors. The arrival of snow brings an extra apres-ski edge to Zakopane, with plenty of mulled wine (grzaniec) and warmed beers with fruit juice. on Oct.03.2009 | "Jagoda is my favourite place for a snack in Zakopane. There is a wonderful choice of ice creams, cakes, the biggest and lightest doughnuts ever, full of jam or chocolate. There is an excellent selection of drinks including hot chocolate with lashings of whipped cream and latte. I'm making a beeline for Jagoda every time we visit Zakopane.
