The Tatra Museum

|
The Tatra Museum has a fusty nineteenth century explorer air, chock-full of stuffed furry fellows, not to mention a good smattering of our feathered friends. But if you're intrigued by folk art there's plenty to see here. There are some classic wooden interiors and local highlanders costumes. And fans of the distinctive paintings on glass will find some old treasures too. The collections are displayed in a fine building that was opened in 1922 following the designs of local legend Stanislaw Witkiewicz. |
